About us

Yemipoet Creation is a creative platform that organizes contests, promotes emerging talents, and envisions a future in publishing.
Yemigoldentouch Initiative is a non-governmental organization dedicated to ending hunger and advocating for quality education in underserved communities. Both were founded by the same visionary, Opeyemi Moses, driven by a belief that creativity can fuel compassion, and purpose can empower progress.

Yemipoet fosters creativity and connection among poets in Nigeria. Through monthly themed competitions, each drawing over 200 entries from poets. These themes often align with cultural, spiritual, real-life issues and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including gender equality, zero hunger, climate action, and social justice. The top three winners are awarded cash prizes, cultivating a competitive yet supportive community.

More than a platform, Yemipoet is a movement that uses the power of words to inspire, educate, and ignite action. At its heart lies the Yemigoldentouch Initiative, our NGO dedicated to creating real-world impact through targeted outreaches aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 2 and 4, Zero Hunger and Quality Education.

Whether you’re here to read, perform, or create change, I welcome you into my world of rhythm and responsibility.

In my little experience, I’ve had to step beyond what felt safe. Some call it risk, I call it faith. Because He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world.

This June, #YemipoetPoetryContest invites you to write on the theme: COMFORT ZONE

Hunger is real. But so is hope.
This piece is a voice for the voiceless, a call to end the silence and the suffering.
Let’s fight for a world where no one goes to bed hungry.

#WorldHungerDay #ZeroHunger #SpokenWord #EndHunger #FoodForAll #SDG2 #foodbanks #yemipoetToday on #AfricaDay, I raise my voice for justice, unity, and hope.
Through my spoken word, I tell the story of an African girl in the diaspora — still dreaming big, even when the world sees her skin before her soul.

This piece echoes the call for reparations and a future where every African, at home or abroad, stands tall in truth, equity, and pride.
